Although surgical resection of advanced neoplasia, including high-grade dysplasia or pancreatic cancer, is critical for early pancreatic cancer detection in the context of IPMN, resection is not recommended for low-grade dysplasia (LGD) related to IPMN because of the minimal risk of cancer progression and significant procedural risks.
